Dear members, I am kindly inviting you to join me in the third edition of #happysocks. It is a very simple group activity is which we organize every other year, as a support to people with Down Syndrome. They might not have a pair of perfect chromosomes but they are perfect in their diversity. Besides being the first day of spring, 21 March is also known as World Down Syndrome Day - global awareness day which has been officially observed by the UN since 2012. Please take five minutes of your time and share a photo of your feet with different coloured socks on the Padlet wall here. Please add your name and a country you come from.
ou can also do this activity with your students and share the group photo of their coloured feet.  We have organized this activity in 2017, 2019 and now again in 2021. I am attaching a screenshot of the similar colourful Padlet wall from previous years. Let's spread the word and see how many photos we can collect in a only 10 days. The activity will be open, starting today 20 March and it will finish on 30 March midnight!
